About the Author

William L. Masterton received his PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Illinois in 1953. Two years later he began to work at the University of Connecticut, where he taught general chemistry and a graduate course in chemical thermodynamics. Exactly what I needed, but there were so many marks in the book, some which I couldn't read over. Only on a few pages.

This book was required for my Chem class in college. I feel that it is difficult to understand until you actually apply the knowledge gained from it. My professor asked that we read the chapter and experiment and write a report on it before we ever performed the actual experiment. The book is very hard to follow, but once the experiments are completed it would start to come together. I appreciate the idea and the detailed explanations in this book, don't know if all of it is necessary.

So many grammar issues that it was distracting. I know it's a chemistry book, but still. I guess it serves its purpose.
